How much does it cost to be part of the Zfluence Brand Community?
It costs just $250 per month to be in our Brand Community. The $250 monthly fee provides you with full and ongoing access to an unlimited number of Zfluencers who have told us they love your brand and would like to work with you, as well as contact information for the Zfluencers you choose to work with so you can contact them easily and directly to mobilize them as brand ambassadors. Alternatively, brands that would like Zfluence to manage their Zfluencers for them can select our A-to-Z Plan, which costs a total of $1,000 per month.
Do I pay my Zfluencers?
No. Zfluencers are true brand fans—not “pay-to-say-anything influencers”—so they are thrilled to receive products from you as a reward for their work. This is how we ensure that your Zfluencers are working with you for the right reasons—because they authentically love and want to promote your brand!
How are you different from other influencer-marketing companies?
We’re different in every way, which is why we’re so effective. First and foremost, we focus on authentic relationships, which result in the most compelling and influential social media posts. Since the process starts with Zfluencers who have self-identified as wanting to work with you, you’ll always be selecting your Zfluencers from a universe of genuine brand fans. In addition, our product-as-reward model ensures that all the Zfluencers you’re working with are in it for the right reasons, i.e., because they genuinely love your products and want to help your brand grow. Second, our network of Zfluencers is the highest quality group of Gen Z influencers you’ll find anywhere. We are extremely discerning about who we accept into our network because other influencer marketing firms are not. We accept only the kind of smart, driven, talented, and influential members of Gen Z you’d want to hire. Third, we make it easy for you to manage your Zfluencers. We don’t make you use complex dashboards so we can control your relationships. We let you manage your Zfluencers the way you’d manage anyone else on your marketing team: directly by email. Finally, we’re affordable. It costs just $250 per month to be part of our Brand Community and get full and ongoing access to our growing-by-the-day network of outstanding Zfluencers.
What are the benefits of working with Zfluencers over professional influencers?
Zfluencers are authentic brand fans, not “pay-to-say-anything” influencers, so their endorsements have credibility, which is crucial to Gen Z, a demographic that prizes authenticity above all else. In addition, because of their personal relationships with their followers, Zfluencers have an average engagement rate of 22%, as compared to the 1.7% engagement rate averaged by mega-influencers who don’t have real relationships with the vast majority of their followers. Finally, cost is a huge difference. Professional influencers charge based on their follower count—which is ironic, since follower count can demotivate Gen Z consumers who prize authenticity and peer-to-peer endorsements above all else—so one post can cost thousands of dollars or more. In contrast, it costs brands just $250 per month to be part of the Zfluence Brand Community, and they reward their Zfluencers with products only.
What are the demographics of your Zfluencers?
All of our Zfluencers are between the ages of 16 and 25. Eighty percent are in college; the rest are high school students or in graduate school or working. We have Zfluencers on 250+ campuses all over the United States.
What kind of market reach can I expect?
On average, brands reach 250,000 new Gen Z consumers during their first month working with us and 150,000 new Gen Z consumers in each subsequent month. We receive a high volume of new Zfluencer applications each day, so our market reach increases every day.
How do you select Zfluencers for your network?
We are the most selective Gen Z influencer network in the country. We look for members of Gen Z whose involvement, activities, and accomplishments have made them the people in their generation that others trust and admire. Most hold leadership positions in their sororities, fraternities, campus clubs, and/or on their athletic teams; are top-performing students; have won academic, sports, and leadership awards; and are leaders in their communities. The vast majority are passionate about health and fitness, food, fashion and beauty, travel, the environment, and photography, and one-third of our Zfluencers who are college students are majoring in marketing, business, advertising, or PR. Zfluence is about quality, not quantity; we accept just 20 percent of applicants into our network.
How will I choose Zfluencers for my brand? Are they assigned?
Unlike other solutions that require you to search huge databases to find ambassadors that might know or fit your brand, our process starts with Zfluencers who have requested to work with you, so you’ll always be selecting your Zfluencers from a group of people who have self-identified as true brand fans who genuinely want to promote you to their friends.
How many Zfluencers can I expect to work with?
Brand Community members receive access to an unlimited number of Zfluencers who love and want to promote their brand, so you are able to work with as many or as few Zfluencers who want to work with you as you would like. On average, brands receive interest from 75 to 100 Zfluencers in their first month.
What if I don’t have time to manage my Zfluencers?
You can sign up for our A-to-Z Plan, which costs $1,000 per month, and let us handle everything for you. All you’d need to do is approve the Zfluencers you’d like to work with and ship your products to them.
I have an existing ambassador program. Can I add my Zfluencers to it?
Absolutely. Many brands use Zfluence to populate or augment their existing influencer or ambassador programs. Your selected Zfluencers are yours to manage in whatever way makes the most sense for you.
Do Zfluencers have to make all of their posts FTC compliant?
Yes. It is stated in their contract that Zfluencers’ posts must be FTC compliant. If there is a particular FTC-compliant hashtag that you’d like them to use, you can let them know.
What if my Zfluencers don’t post as they said they would?
Our Zfluencers are contractually bound to be responsive to the brand(s) they’re working with and to do what they say they’re going to do, and we have never had to let a Zfluencer go for non-compliance. In addition, our Zfluencers have been accepted into our network because they’re outstanding members of their generation, so they’re all very used to honoring their responsibilities.
How do you measure success?
We’re unlike other influencer platforms in that we don’t use complicated and complex dashboards or try to stay in the middle of your Zfluencer relationships. We connect you with the Zfluencers you’ve selected, and then we get out of the way so you can own your relationships with them, embrace them as part of your marketing team, and communicate with them directly. As a result, the success of what you do will depend upon how well you engage with and mobilize your Zfluencers. If you make your Zfluencers a real part of your marketing team and give them plenty to do and post about, you’ll have great results. If you don’t communicate clearly with them and direct them, your Zfluencers won’t know what to do for you and your results will suffer. We are always available to provide support and insight on how to best engage your Zfluencers.
Our products are only available in certain areas in the country. Is it possible to work with Zfluencers in specific markets or on specific campuses?
Absolutely! When we notify our full Zfluencer network that you’ve joined our Brand Community, we can say that you’re looking for Zfluencers in certain parts of the country or on specific campuses. We are also happy to issue a call for Zfluencer applications on specific campuses if that is of interest.
My company offers an app or service, not a product. Can I still work with Zfluencers?
Yes. Services—like fitness studios, for example—can provide gift certificates for free classes in exchange for social media posts. What tends to work best with apps is sending your Zfluencers branded swag in exchange for on-campus and social media promotion.
I’m a teenage entrepreneur. Does Zfluence offer any discounts on its pricing plans for teenage entrepreneurs?
Yes! Since we are a Gen-Z founded company, we believe strongly in the power of teenage entrepreneurship and are happy to extend a 20% discount on all pricing plans to all teenage business founders.
