Professor Stephen Courter is an award-winning faculty member in the department of management at The University of Texas at Austin, where he teaches graduate courses in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and New Venture Creation. Professor Courter has also taught at the University of Maryland and Bryant University and conducted MBA Global Connections work-study programs in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and India. Prior to joining academia, Professor Courter was a top corporate executive, serving as CEO and Director of Broadwing Communications in Austin; CEO and Chairman of Neon Communication in Boston; CEO of Enertel Communications in The Netherlands; and Vice President and General Manager of Sprint/Global One in Brussels, Belgium. He has also held management positions at KPMG and IBM and currently serves on a number of corporate boards.
Juliette Morris serves as CEO, TuneIn, the leading live global streaming and on-demand audio service. Previously, Morris held the position of Chief Marketing Officer, TuneIn, where she was instrumental in driving significant growth for the company. Prior to joining TuneIn, Morris held executive leadership and marketing positions at three of the top global media companies, including HBO, Viacom, and NBCUniversal, where she served as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications. In this role, she was responsible for the marketing business strategy with NBCUniversal distribution partners for a multi-billion dollar content portfolio consisting of top-rated networks including Bravo, CNBC, E!, Sprout, Syfy, NBCSN, MSNBC, USA, NBC, and Telemundo stations, as well as NBC Sports Regional Sports Networks and the Olympics.
Founder and CEO, Dynabrand
Carla McDonald is the founder and CEO of Dynabrand, which invests marketing expertise and capital to help entrepreneurs build strong brands. McDonald has more than 25 years of marketing experience, working with firms ranging from startups like Deep Eddy Vodka, which was sold to Heaven Hill Brands six years after its founding, to Fortune 50 companies, including Procter & Gamble and Intel. Prior to founding Dynabrand, McDonald served as Chief Marketing Officer of a venture-backed technology startup that she helped to rebrand, reposition, and sell; Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the North American Marketing Practice at GCI Group; and Senior Managing Director and Director of the Consumer Marketing Practice at Hill + Knowlton Strategies. McDonald also serves as a mentor at SKU, a leading CPG accelerator; Beam, which supports women entrepreneurs; and Capital Factory, an Austin-based accelerator.
